2. Acceptance of Terms
By using our website or enrolling in a course, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are using these services on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
3. Description of Services
Latentia offers online courses in AI development and related programming topics. Courses are delivered through our website and include written materials, exercises, project prompts, and written mentor feedback. The AI Systems Practicum additionally includes scheduled live mentor sessions.
Course content is available to enrolled learners for the duration stated at the time of enrolment. Courses are available to learners globally with no geographic restriction, provided they can access our website and communicate in English.
4. Enrolment and Access
Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of payment. You are responsible for keeping any login credentials confidential. Courses are intended for individual use — access should not be shared with or transferred to other people. Latentia reserves the right to suspend access where shared use is detected.
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use course materials for personal learning purposes only
- Not reproduce, distribute, or publish course content without our prior written consent
- Submit work that is your own — submitting work produced by others as your own is not permitted
- Not attempt to disrupt or interfere with the website or course platform
- Communicate with mentors and staff in a respectful manner
6. Intellectual Property
All course content, materials, and branding are owned by or licensed to Latentia. Enrolment grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the course content for personal educational purposes during the enrolment period.
Work you produce and submit during a course remains yours. By submitting work for mentor review, you grant Latentia a limited right to review, annotate, and retain your submission for quality and record-keeping purposes. We do not publish or share submitted work externally without your consent.
7. Payment
Course fees are stated in Thai Baht (฿) at the time of enrolment. Payment is due before course access is granted. We accept bank transfer to a Thai bank account and major credit cards. All transactions are processed securely.
Refund Policy
If you request a refund within 7 days of enrolment and have not yet submitted any course exercises, we will refund the full course fee. After 7 days, or once exercises have been submitted for mentor review, fees are non-refundable. If exceptional circumstances apply, contact us at [email protected] to discuss your situation.
8. Course-Specific Terms
- Course completion records are issued by Latentia upon successful completion of required projects. They are records of completion, not externally accredited credentials.
- Mentor feedback is written and asynchronous for First Steps in Python and Working with Data & Models. The AI Systems Practicum includes live sessions; session scheduling is arranged between learner and mentor, subject to availability.
- Course materials may be updated during your enrolment period. You will be notified of significant changes.
- Latentia makes no representations about how completion of a course may affect employment, career progression, or other external outcomes.
9. Disclaimers
Course content and mentor feedback are provided for educational purposes and represent the considered opinions of our instructors. They do not constitute professional, technical, legal, or financial advice for any specific situation. Latentia does not represent that course completion will lead to any particular outcome. Individual results depend on many factors outside our control.
The website and course platform are provided on an "as is" basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, though we make reasonable efforts to maintain access.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Latentia's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of our courses shall not exceed the amount you paid for the course in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental loss, including lost earnings or business opportunities.
Events outside our reasonable control (including but not limited to network outages, natural disasters, or regulatory changes) that affect our ability to deliver services will not constitute a breach of these Terms.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Latentia, its team members, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or costs arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of course content.
12. Termination
You may discontinue using our courses at any time. Latentia may suspend or terminate access where these Terms are materially breached, including but not limited to sharing access credentials, reproducing course content without permission, or submitting work that is not your own. Sections 6, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.
13. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through direct communication. If a resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, disputes shall be referred to the courts of Chiang Mai, Thailand, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
14. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the full agreement between you and Latentia regarding your use of our services.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder of these Terms continues in effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer our rights to a successor.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be communicated by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Enrolled learners will be notified by email of material changes. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
